  • Avoid dental procedures 2weeks before and after filler injections

  • Bruising and swelling will be worse for the first 24-48hours after dermal fillers. Refrain from exercising for the reminder of the day following your injection

Healing Stages

• Day 1-3: Darker and Bold:

Expect tightness and tenderness. The area may appear darker than on the first day of treatment.

• Day 3-7: Dry and Flaky:

The area will start to flake and scab, similar to a sunburn. Allow flaking to come off naturally. Avoid picking, scrubbing, scratching, or itching. (Note: Scabbing might not apply to those who opted for the hairstroke method.)

• Day 7-28: Healed and Normal:

Around day 7 to 14, your brows/skin will look visibly healed. Wait until day 28 for the final result to be revealed.

AFTERCARE

Anti-Wrinkle Injections & Microtox AFRERCARE

To achieve the optimal outcome, we would recommend:

  • Don’t rub the treated area today – no facials, massages or pressure to the treated area
  • Don’t apply make up for 4 hours – although unlikely it can increase the risk of infection
  • Stay upright for 4 hours post treatment and try to sleep on your back the first night
  • No alcohol or exercise for the rest of the day
  • For any pain we'd suggest paracetomol; anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin or ibuprofen are not recommended
  • For any small bruises, arnica cream can speed the resolution

Dermal Fillers AFRERCARE

To achieve the optimal outcome we would recommend:

  • Bruising can occur and after the local anaesthetic wears off you may feel tenderness. Ice can be applied to help reduce pain and swelling. Hirudoid or arncia cream can help resolve a bruise
  • Paracetamol is recommended for any pain
  • Avoid makeup (including lipstick or lip gloss) for the rest of the day to reduce the risk of infection
  • Don’t rub the treated area for a week– no facials, massages or pressure to the treated area
  • If you have a history of cold sores we recommend famciclovir (ask a local chemist) to reduce the likelihood of an outbreak after your treatment

  • Please do not have any facials or face massages for three weeks.
  • There may be mild tenderness in the treated area for approximately one week.
  • If you experience a ‘ping’ sensation where the threads have been placed, massage for 2–3 seconds.
  • Avoid strenuous contact sports for three weeks.
  • Avoid exaggerated facial movements like chewing, talking or yawning for three weeks. You may move your face in a normal fashion.
  • No dental surgery for four weeks.
  • Avoid saunas or heat treatments for three weeks.

The visible "Bumps" will usually subside within 24-48 hours. You should not apply make up for 24-48 hours to avoid unnecessary clogging of the injections sites which may lead to acne or infection. Facials AFRERCARE

To maintain the fresh, clean, and hydrated feel of your skin after a facial, it's important to follow these guidelines:

  • Stick to the skincare routine recommended by your skin therapist after your facial. Make sure you have the right cleanser, moisturizer, serum, and sun protection products that are suitable for your skin type and lifestyle.
  • If you had a microdermabrasion facial, avoid exfoliating your skin for the next 14 days. Similarly, if you received a peel, follow the same timeframe and refrain from exfoliation.
  • If you have recently undergone filler or Botox treatments, it is safe to have a facial after two weeks. Your skin needs time to replenish, and by the four-week mark, you should be ready for another facial.
  • In case you experience breakouts, please remember that it is not the facial that caused them. Breakouts can occur due to various reasons, and they often start developing weeks before becoming visible on the skin. If you do experience breakouts, it means that your skin is addressing an underlying issue that was already present. This is why we avoid performing extractions unless done under sanitary conditions, as improper extraction can lead to breakouts.
  • Overall, following these guidelines and maintaining a consistent skincare routine will help you preserve the fresh, clean, and hydrated results achieved during your facial.
